Removing security tags?

I just returned from a holiday to Paris where I bought my mum a nice apron from Disneyland. When I got home I discovered that the sales assistant forgot to take the security tag off and it's one of those ink ones so I don't want to try and force it off. It's in a really bad place holding the apron closed so there's no option to leave it on and I'm not going back to Disneyland to get it removed!

Has anyone got any ideas how to remove these without them busting open? I tried the tag remover in work but it is the wrong shape so won't work.

Thanks

Matt

findindg a shop that uses the exact same style type and shape of taf may be difficult

finding one willing to remove yours will be even more difficult :(

we had the same trouble with one we got in florida,
ended up finding the disney number and phoned them put us through to customer service and they said send it to them and they would remove it, and they did

Do you live in the States? Or was there a UK address?

it was a uk address, were in the uk.
the woman on the phone said that if the uk office could not take the tag off then they would post it to america and get it removed and they would pay for the p&p. but the uk office did it.

That seems like a colossal waste of resources for a security tag.

Good service but I'd hate to see the aprons carbon footprint if it has to head back out to the states. :p

Thanks for the info hopefully they will be able to sort it out for me. I've emailed them and will see what they say. I'm sure this type of thing must happen all the time.

I was in the Disney shop in Belfast today looking to see if they had similar tags but annoyingly they don't.
