I've got to replace part of my shower unit so I first need to remove the old sealant that is stuck to the tiles before I reapply, but there is very limited space to move hands and/or tools in the spot where the unit was placed.

Is there any way, other than scraping, that I can get this old sealant off? I'm thinking some other chemical or similar...?

(I have no nukes or napalm, need my aerosols and matches for other things, cant seem to find any ovaries in the sealant etc. etc.)

Ive tried that stuff. Its horrendous. It just turns it more like a softer elastic sealant. Its horrible to get off, horrible on your hands. I found it easier to use just the blade from a stanley knife and scrape. Especially on tiles.

I've had to do this a few times, i don't envy you at all. I have never come across anything that will help, chemical wise anyway, just go old elbow grease and a blade.

I used silicon remover from B&Q, cant remember the exact name, just followed the instructions, and it peeled off easily.
