I've got a 6 D cell maglite thats had some batteries left in it for quite awhile, 4 came out fine but its got 2 stuck down the far end that won't budge, I've tried giving it a good beating but to no avail.

Any ideas?

don't they fully dissassemble so that essentially you're just left with an aluminium tube? i.e. just poke it from the other end XD

don't think so, it seems sealed

to the rest :p

OCUK, the home of sensible question, stupid answers :D

Araldite pre mixed on the end of a stick. Stick it to the battery, leave it for half an hour, pull.

now thats a plan! I got araldite so its worth a go, worst that can happen is a stick stuck in the torch as well

Put the body in boiling hot water for a few mins to expand the metal? Then bang them out

Failing that

I have heard maglite do replacements if they have been damaged by approved batteries
