Removing the front numberplate

Surely a better idea would be to get a new front number plate made up with one letter/number incorrect but similar. No obvious attention and if you do get pulled claim ignorance and blame the garage \o/

**** it why stop there? Just find a car in Tesco's (or in members gallery ;)) same colour/model and clone the plates :p

Obviously illegal though so I wouldn't recommend it ;)

There have apparantly been occasions where cars with no front numberplate have been identified from the pic by enlarging and picking it up from the tax disk, didnt realise the cameras were that good myself but have read it in various places

They send the images over to CSI in the States, have you seen some of the image manipulation software they have! They can take a grainy 320x240 CCTV picture and by running it through their filters, can get an image equivalent to that taken with a 6mp DSLR camera in a studio! :D

The camera's must be pretty good, as apparently they can pick up the makers name/postcode from your numberplates (Post September 2001 plates)

That said the numberplate/serial number on the tax disk are a lot smaller, and anything behind the windscreen is often not visible due to reflections on the glass. But I guess anythings possible in exceptional circumstances.

Gotta love TV programmes when they do photo reconstruction. I remember an episode of Startrek, where there was a person standing behind several others, could just see the back of her hair, and they did a computer enhancement and everything was perfect.
