I'm going up on the Friday night & camping for the weekend with my son so i'll be about on both days.

Is Saturday going to be worth it as it's mainly just qualifying?
 
I looked for a thread about this, but presumed people weren't interested with it not being in the events calendar sticky.

I've got two tickets, dragging my brother along, but it'd be cool to meet up with anyone down there. I'll be down on Saturday, and might go again on Sunday depending on whether it's worth another drive from Manchester!

With the tickets now run out on the site, will it be too packed to move around freely? Or do they give away less tickets than they have capacity?

I've never been to Donnington before, but went to Oulton Park last month for the superbikes and that wasn't too busy in general. I also went to the F1 testing at Silverstone back in April and that was far quieter (attendance wise!) than I expected. Speaking of which, is anyone going to the F1 testing in two weeks? I think I'll make it down on the Tuesday for that.

Got 4 tickets for this and thinking of going on sunday - does anyone know whats its like for getting to and parking (is it free?). I've not been to a live motor sport event before but figured as it was free it was a good chance to go and test out my new Panny FZ-30 at the same.

Depends where you're coming from,

If you get from the M1 it's easy (Only been there once mind)
Parking wasn't too bad last time, but I hope it is good weather as last time they had us park in a field (Download 2004 :D)

I'm going, not sure what day. Will be there with my D200 and Sigma 100-300 F4 attached.

Will have the lovely lady (with D70S) and kids with my too :)
 
Yeah, I might be there on Sunday. By the sounds of the amount of people going we should have a mini meet.

I will be there on Saturday not sure about Sunday with my D70 and Sigma 70-200 HSM and 2x converter.
 
Would love to meet a few people on the day (as I've not been to any OcUk meets yet anyhow) and hopefully get some advise from you fellas

EDIT:

Is it worth taking a tripod to events like this or would a monopod be more advisable?
(I'm guessing the tripod would be inappropriate, but wanted to be sure)

Edit: Never mind, just found out getting to Saturday would require getting up at 7:30.
