Renault World Series 2010 - Sept 18/19

Went to the BTCC a couple of years back and it was shocking then too. All the cars have to leave by one or maybe two small exits, and since it had been raining there was mud and general pandemonium with lots of stuck cars, sliding cars and so on. Even getting there in the morning was terrible, the queue back was miles, I suggest leaving very early to avoid the worst of that.

Yes, and it's shockingly bad as well.

Took two hours just to get out the car park last year, and a further 45 mins to get on the A43. Sterling work as always, Silverstone.

I go to Silverstone via Stowe village and avoid all that, I more or less drove straight into Ford Fair where those who came from the M1/A43 got stuck for 2 hours

I have four tickets for Saturday and Sunday that I am happy to post out to anyone that wants them.

I had been looking forward to going, but now I can't make it so I would rather someone put them to good use rather than they get wasted.

Email your address to my trust and I will send either 2 or 4 tickets, just specify how many you would like.

Yeah, I found that somewhat last year, though I was constantly moving round the circuit during the day so didn't stay too near any one for too long at a time.

We had a pretty good day over all, but I have to agree with what you were saying frakker about some of the people there.

There were a couple of massive crashes, first in the Formula Renault 3.5's which was followed by one in with the Megane's. This is the only video I've been able to find of it, but misses out the start of the incident - thankfully the driver seemed to be OK.

I went there, didn't have a problem with the people there - bit gutted I missed that megane crash... :p truly epic! ..was pretty close to there when the f1 car went round

Women drivers  :D glad she is ok though.

Had good time there, didnt find a problem with the people, but did move around a fair bit. Cant complain for a free day out!

had a great day today. didnt really notice any chavvy contingent

that crash ^ rather spectacular, good to see the driver walk clear of the wreck.

I went to both days, although I agree that one day is enough.

We had a sneaky look in one of the private suites (they have a green astroturf patio at the side of the start of the pit lane) as the door was open and no-one was in there:p

The start of the 3.5 races had incredible sound, and when stood next to the end of the pit lane (where they stopped and revved it then pulled off) was very loud, but that was nothing compared to the scream of the F1 car!

To top the weekend off, some bird kept jumping up on the stage without a top on at the live band at the campsite I was at.

I am afraid I didn't see the crash though, only the aftermath (and the safety car for bloody ages!).

All in all, not a bad weekend. I didn't see too many chavs luckily.

I had no issues with chavs..... The accident happened right in front of me, I managed to get a few pics of the accident as it happened which I'll upload later.

Had a great view of the 3.5 crash ;)

Was a good couple of days overall with the exception of a small number of chavs - which there seemed to be twice the amount of on the Sunday, although I didnt see them causing any problems, just the sight of them annoys me :p
