Rent-a-PC ?

I remember years ago when i turned 18 i rented my first PC from radio rentals.

Olivetti Pentium 75.

In the end i worked out it would be cheaper to get a bank loan and build a system myself, even back then.

So in the end i retuend the olivetti unit and built myself a system with a Pentium 133 ( later upgraded to a 200MMX ) with a CDROM and 4Mb RAM. Cant remember what it cost but o dod remember the loan was for 2K!

Doesn’t surprise me they’ve been called out on it… also that they haven’t really changed anything about the scheme itself after the GN video.

Certainly won’t be buying any NZXT products, it became clear they don’t care about their customers

i could see a use for this kind of... you can rent for just one month at a time its not a 12 or 24 contract.
so fort party's and holiday homes like yer... but at $119(+$50) for the basic option its a no unless you mad at your money and wont to just get rid

And the follow up does nothing to address the points raised in the first video

Edit: the URL is DAANNGvMANM :D

It’s only worth if you’re planning on use a fake name and nick it. :D

Apparently they won’t run proper checks.

If that becomes a trend, soon Facebook market will have loads of them cheap.

You have to remember not every one can get credit… it like the new fad for renting a phone.
The credit requirements are much lower. There praying on the poor as with everything now days…. If you can’t afford to buy you can rent for x2

I think that's the worst thing about this nzxt "deal" - it was very obviously aimed at people with bad credit or even underage with the way they were having influencers push it.

its becoming the norm to rent everything and have everything on a subscription.
there is literally nothing you cant rent now days, some people have everything but own nothing.

"You will own nothing and be content" ah yes. the marxist dream.

you can rent everting..
car, pc, bike, phone, coffee maker, all general white good's

its mad, when people lose the job's, they lose everything. i dont know how people live this way, im not claiming to be rich but i own everything i have with the exception of a mortgage.

Just shockingly bad. I cannot imagine who will go for this. Who is cash rich, credit poor and can't Google prices?
I can after working in retail for 10 years I've met a range of people and I can imagine it's people that come from house holds that live paycheck to pay check. It's mad watching how they live and what crazy financial decisions they make.

a lot of it is driven by greed and jealousy. people want everything they don't have, and want everything now with no interest in working and saving.

i think its O2 or EE now do a contract where you can upgrade your phone at any time for a £100 fee and your return your old phone in good condition.
the contract is 30% more than a standard one for the same phone, and when all is said and dont you down own the phone

Can't say I'm surprised. When I worked in a convenience store it amazed me the amount of people with flag ship phone debating on putting £10 or £15 on an electric key or buying a bottle of somthing on skipping on food. I always remember a staff member I worked with that was 20 that would swap pcs ever few months because he needed the cash... (not drugs just bad at money management)
