Renting a big house for the weekend

Cant you just all stay at a travel lodge or other similar cheap hotel and either book a venue in the hotel or nearby, or just book a pub nearby?

Would be a lot lot cheaper.

We've been looking at renting a house/ cottage in the south west for next year.

This sites has some great places available, more than 20 people, no problem.
