Renting houses

So I'm sitting here surrounded by packed boxes ready for the move on friday and my agent has just popped round to tell me that the chap we were going to rent from has change his mind

So now I have to hope that tomorrow the agents of current house will let us stay although they do have people lined up for here and I don't want to upset them the way I have been and the rent has gone up another £70 arghh

Just decided to stay in the house, is all I was told.

No I was due to sign on the day I picked up the keys, Friday.

Surly you have a deposit down before that? and a signing of a partial contract?

Yes all of that! the agent says I'll get a full refund.

I certainly wouldn't be using the same agent ever again. Surly after deposit they can't go back. Does your paper work say anything.

Indeed, at least see if they will stick you in a Travel Inn or waver you admin fee's on the next place.

Staying in a travel Inn is not an option with 3 kids! and he did say that the next place available was mine without the admin fee, but 3 bed properties to rent are like gold dust around here.
