The ringing noise from the fridge is getting worse, eventually it could cause ringing in my ears. It will cost too much too pay to repair it. I watched this youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMJ6gk4a7EY . The guy easily replaces a motor in a fridge and it looks similar to repairing a pc. I then downloaded the service manual for my fridge. It shows everything I need to know to repair it. A new motor for model of the fridge costs about £60 and a compressor costs £136. Do you know which part usually causes a ringing noise? Has anyone repair a fridge before with no experience?

It rings only when the cooling mechanism kicks in, which is most of the time. I do not know if it is the compressor. IT is a Daewoo erf 334m, it is a fridge freezer. The motor and fan is accessible from the front in the freezer compartment. it cools ok, i think it is the motor. I am going to take all the freezer parts out later today and try to pin point the sound. I was reading it might just need a clean, but seeing as the fan is internal doubt that is the case.
