Well, another crazy saturday night. One of our mates went a bit mad and punched a hole in the wall. He said he would pay for it but can it be repaired cheaply somehow? Maybe a bit of wood and some plaster over it, wilkos or somewhere must sell something to sort it. Hole is 8" accross, 6" high. Its thin plaster

To get some kind of stability for the filler/plaster to get a grip you need to tie a piece of string to a short strip of wood or whatever & poke it thru the hole & position it so when you pull on the string so it holds the broken plasterboard in place while the hole is filled.
Rough fill it first & leave it till next day & then fill to smooth it level

just pop to Bq( they sell plasterboard and a small tub of ready mixed plaster) or see if a local trade merchants like jewsons or travis perkins have a damaged plasterboard or offcut you can have ...same with plaster
