Repairing hole in wall

Drill 4 holes each one about 2" away from the edge of the hole. Hold and screw some peices of wood behind. Plaster/repair/bodge however you like onto this. Plaster over the screws too obviously.

If he is paying, get the whole wall skimmed.

Do it right, Patch jobs just look cheap.

which is why all our road signs are in km and not miles.

Done them two different ways before.
One, stuck a bit of wood behind it, skim it over.
Other, stuck a bit of paper over it, painted it (managed to get it to blend in), and hoped no one would ever lean against it.

Both were at mates houses, and for the record, I didn't make the holes.
