replace a x1950 pro = same watts or less

Anyone have any recommendations as to what single gpu card i can replace my 1950pro with that will have the same or less max power drawn and still have a significant boost in performance!

not 100% sure but the 4770s maybe a good place to start

they dont need a pcie power connector for a start

The 4770 which is currently out of stock...the other option is the 4850 but I think that needs slighly more power...also i don't know how the gts250 fares...

I think 450w should be enough to handle the 4850 which is around £75 well worth it imo.

4850 should run fine on that pc, unless you have actually tested cards with a higher power draw and it results in stability problems

I am swaying toward the 4850 but if it would do a 4870 then id get that!

well your CPU clock speed may play a part in what you should get, as well as your res

personally i would get the cheapest 4850 and some more ram giving myself a minimum of 4GB
