In this festive period the other week I got a bit too festive and lost my iPhone 5 and wallet.

Luckily it was insured and I have made a claim and they have none in stock so are going to transfer me the money for a new one.

Do you think I should withdraw and purchase another iPhone 5, wait for the 5S apparently as early as February or buy another phone all together?

I do like the iPhone 5 for its speed, great touch screen and iCloud but there was something about it that didn't make it quite as good as the 4S. The added screen size for me was a bit annoying as I have small hands too

I am currently using my trusty Sony Ericsson W810i with a Nano sim converter

Depends on how deep you're into the app ecosystem? If I was buying right now I would honestly be most tempted by a Nexus 4 for price they look like exceptional value for money.

co-op bank, I opened a current account with them for phone insurance only

£25 excess, £50 on iPhones

I do love iCloud for contacts, calendars etc and have quite a few apps. I might get a 4S to £200

Just get another 5 if you liked it. It's a great phone and I think you'll miss the screen space if you go for a 4S.

Can't say I notice the speed difference between the 4S and 5 to be honest. It's much less than the 3G->3GS and 4->4S was, I think it's aged well and I haven't felt it frustratingly slow to use like I did with both my older iPhones.
