Just wondering how hard it actually is? I have just passed my driving test and looking to upgrade the head unit in the car which I will be driving.

It is just a bog standard CD/Radio head unit at the moment and thinking of replacing it with this...

I know my way around computers and things so I wouldn't be that afraid just wondering if it will be tricky?

pretty easy, I did it at 17 (ford escort). got the removal tools, pulled old one out, put in new cage, plugged in harnesses, tested, something wired wrong (think it needed a constant power source for date/time and the accessory switch on, mine was just on straight away and resetting every turn off), switched the wires, worked, pushed in, enjoyed MP3 cd's :D

(then got stolen a year or so later :( booo )

but yea only thing you might need is an adapter to interface between the cars leads and the new head unit ;)

Don't forget to inform your insurance provider ;)

Just had a look at some random interior shots of that car. Looks pretty much like a straight plug and play - you might need a fascia adapter and if its currently got steering controls ( doubtful) an adapter for that too

I think this is exactly what my head unit looks like...
