I think my RAID0 is dying so I'm looking for an SSD replacement.

How does this drive fair in the SSD stakes?

As an SSD virgin. Do I need to know anything before I install Windows 7 or do I just connect it up and load the OS as with a mechanical drive?

If someone could let me know today I'd really appreciate it as I want to get it ordered today.

:)

OCZ Vertex are great drives mate. Im for getting the 90GB Bigfoot myself :) With regards to your installation procedure.....

- Set controller mode in BIOS to AHCI mode.
- Connect SSD into system and disconnect any HDD.
- Install Windows (just hit next at the install/format screen).
- Run Windows experience index assessment.
- Connect up HDD again.
- Redirect Music, Pictures, Documents, Videos and Downloads folder to normal HDD.

Other things you may wish to do are disable system restore, windows search and drive indexing.
