Hi

I just noticed in a previous thread that you are selling the Gen3 Intel SSD's on Tuesday? Woot!

I have about 53GB used on my 73GB partition used and would like to put another program on the main drive of around 30GB so am running out of space on it.

My question is, Should I wait for you to secure your Vertex3 drives and pick up a 120GB unit, or, go for one of the new Intel Gen3 drives that you "will" start selling on Tuesday?

Secondly, is a 3rd party SATA6Gb card able to keep up with the likes of the Vertex 3? I am assuming it needs a 2xPCIx slot to go in? - im not sure I actually have a spare 2x slot, but think it only has spare 1x slots, is that a problem?

I am currently using an old i5 750 @ 3.6ghz.

Thanks

Iain

Why not wait until tomorrow and then people can reliably answer your question based on final information and reviews on the Intel G3. Until then combined with pricing it's really hard to know which will be best :)

Was there anything concrete about these going on sale on Tuesday? I know Ocuk said they had some Intel G3 drives in stock but were waiting for the go ahead from Intel to put them on sale. I read speculation as to the date but didn't think anything had been confirmed?
