After a new mouse. Deathadder started double-clicking, and then it uhh... had an accident (alcohol may have been involved).

Any recommendations to mice similar to Deathadders (which while excellent, I had another Deathadder before which developed faults, Razer's build quality just isn't up to scratch).

Cheers

Mines has started doing the same! Seems to be a common problem with Razer mice.

I have barely used it if you compare it to how much I used to game before, not impressed.

Anything decent like the logitech MX150 these days?

Zowie FK1, Zowie ZA11, Steelseries Sensi or rival ? Both have similar shape to the DA.

I ditched off Razer a long time ago, the original DA was brilliant but came to the same fault as you described. After trying some others in their line up I fell out of love with their products due to high pricing & silly features that I'm paying for & will never use !

The ones I've listed are simple mice that are optical too & work straight out of the box unlike the new Razer stuff that requires you to log in & keep your settings ?

Just got a white steelseries rival and it feels like a quality product. Gave it a bit of a workout in CSGO earlier and its far easier to aim with than the logitech G500s it replaces due to a far more accurate sensor. It also fits perfectly in my rather large hands.

I have just had to bin my deathadder and then pop to local currys to by any old thing , came away with a Logitech 150 for a tenner, it was cheap to buy and it is certainly cheap and nasty to hold and use.

so I'm in same boat need a decent replacement for my old razor

Thing is, deathadders actually have pretty good sensors on them despite the numerous issues with double clicking etc. Wouldn't go back to laser again.

I'm considering the Mionix Castor, all the reviews seem to be good and its a nice looking mouse. I'm waiting for it to drop in price before i pick one up though, hasn't been out for long!

I've had my deathadder for 5 years + I would buy another if it broke mind.

I just did, I accidently broke my 2 year old left hander and I had to pay 60 odd quid for a new one which is a gutter. It's exactly the same 2013 model but I don't mind as it's a great mouse.

I did consider a different Ambidexterous one but I have an ambidextrous Abyssus and when I put it into left hand mode via the software about 50 % of the games I play revert back to the right handed settings when in game.

This is the one I had been considering
