Replacement for Samsung S23?

So both my girlfriend and I have had work phones for years now and very much out of the loop. She’s had an S23 for a few years now, dual sim as work phone and personal. (I’ve had iPhones)

Unfortunately she’s being made redundant and as such needs to get something in the next few weeks. She’s a very vanilla user, probably only cares about the camera at most. She’s debated switching to iPhone as she’s always thought the camera to be pants in her Samsung - is a current gen Samsung going to be markedly better than her S23?

Any recommendations? No real budget but seems daft paying more than £600 odd for no real reason? :confused:
 
The S23/24/25/26 base models all use the same camera hardware, so if she's not happy with the S23, she probably won't be happy with the newer ones.

Pixel 10 or 10 Pro maybe? Can be had cheaper than usual at the moment due to the imminent launch of the 11?

I don't know what to do either.
I was wondering about a new phone myself (s24u). But all I care about is the camera.
So it seems like I'm probably best saving some money and keeping the s24u?
 
If she only cares about camera, how about something like an Iphone 15 Pro/Max? Excellent refurbished ones can be had for <£600
