Replacement for the XC90 inside - Crashed into within 48 hours

Looks bad, word against yours, time of the morning, roads are quiet but you encouter some bad drivers at that time, tired workers wanting to go home/still aslepp works going to work

Why you ringing helphire?

I have been asking myself this since this happened buddy . I have felt like absolute crap all day with a real short temper to boot as well because I'm fed up with it .

Edit* just to add the insurance company think it will go down to a split liability as there where no whitnesses and said I will have to pay a £400 excess and loss no claims bonus as well .

I think we could raise you £400 pretty quickly tbh!

The house beind the car is ofcourse not mine , Would be nice though .

Hate - It was the oOld Shoreham roam by the Southwich Street to Mileoak Road junction just before Mitsi garage heading West .

I have told the insurance company about the MOT cert so this isthe only thing I have to hold onto at the moment .

I can see from driving home it looks like he mistook the right filterlight as a go light and just went straight through while the black Pug was stationary (that drove off)

Another reason for buying a cheap video recorder, I'd hate for this to happen and lose my no claims - I wouldn't stand a chance of been able to afford the increase in premium with 0 ncb.

so you've not witnesses then ?

You're almost certainly going to be claiming off your own insurance then.

Was in the car when my dad was involved in an identical accident. People behind us claimed to have saw nothing or drove off. We maintained our light was green, he maintained his was green.

Went 50/50 as neither of us have witnesses

Bad luck :(

He is only 3rd party aswell so surely he wont be able to claim off his insurance , Hence trying to blame me .

The thing that keeps running through my mind is that I stopped to begin with at my light as it was red and there was on coming traffic from the other side of the road , then the black pug stopped and my light went green to filter right and so does theres on that side of the road and I know hes seen that and thought it was his green light to go straight ahead .
Thing is he hit me about 10/20mph and the black pug was still sat there on the other side of the road and he could have easily gone round me because as soon as I've seen him drive through the light as I was only just moving off I thought he would go round me so I stopped .

Just had a phone call from the repair centre and there saying he's caused the crossmember to break , twisted the chassis leg , 2 wings , headlight , bumper and bonnet and it looks like its beyond economic repair but have to wait for the final say so from engineer or something like that .

Absolutly ****** off at the moment its unreal .

Not really much help but I used to live down the road from there (Kingston Lane) and know those lights and how much of a nuiscance they can be well. It can be a quite confusing junction but you'd have to really not be paying attention to do what he has done. Sounds like you are going to get screwed over due to it now as well :(

He lives bottom end of southwick so I dont know why he was even on that part of the Old Shoreham road . Things like this keep going through my mind .

Might just run some old bangers and not give a **** like everyone else seems to round here .

If he lives bottom end of Southwick then that just makes it worse. Those lights have been on that setup for as long as I can remember! It's not like they have just changed over night.

I have noticed no one down there seems to give a rat-ass about their cars etc. Everytime I go down to visit friends nearly every other car seems to have a dent or a scuff in the same place as the last one, it's like it's a big game of bumper cars around there.
