Wouldnt recommend them for the gym to be honest, as much as I like mine I find myself not using them that much as they are a farse to get in and make them stay in.
Hope you don't mind me bumping but i'm looking for some headphones to use while traveling, so something decent quality as ill be using a lot as well as being comfy. Also main point would be cheap as i'm budgeting now. I have some old seinheiser mx550 possibly i could use if nothing would be better.
I just got a second pair of CX300's. The first developed a fault in the cable after about 9-10months so binned them and got some new ones. The replacement pair aren't as bassy as the originals but the rubber covers are now textured meaning they fit much more snugly and (importantly) they stay put The smooth covers would occasionally push themselves out (especially when hot and sweaty) but the texture on the new ones eliminates this completely. Tested in an actual gym and while on the train/tube with no issues
