Replacement key cost?

hi all, I’ve lost a key to my 16plate fiesta, anybody know how much it is to replace and how long it takes?

Best bet is to ring local dealer they will be able to tell you for certain. Doesn't usually take more than an hour but usually costs £100-£150+

Depends on the complexity of electronics inside and what it communicates with. VW quoted me £300 for a Golf MK7 key.

Both those quotes are in line with what I've heard. Be prepared for them to ask anywhere from £60 to £300. I think Ford is somewhere in the middle.

Can't be that hard or expensive. Thieves do it on the driveway in a couple of minutes.

You're looking at £250-300 from a dealer I reckon. Another option is to contact an auto locksmith. We had to call one out when the wife managed to lose both keys for one of the cars and the guy charged £200 to get the car open and to supply and program a 3rd key, including cutting the emergency key blade. If it was just a case of supplying and programming an additional key it would've been a fair bit cheaper.
