Hi,
The mortice lock on the personnel door to my garage needs replacing. About 12-18 months ago I believe the levers fell/begun to fall and turning the key fully to unlock it wasn't possible.
However last weekend after a bit of hoo-har and some swearing I managed to unlock it and get it out. I measured a 45mm backset which *I think* means I need a 65mm replacement (the depth of the case itself, also 65mm).
I know very little about locks other than a small amount about euro-cyclinders so I'm just after recommendations and if there are any I should avoid? I'd like to do it this weekend and have all the usual DIY/Hardware stores on my doorstep (B&Q, Homebase, Screwfix, Wickes)
Obviously I wan't something secure, it's the only lock on the door, though (not to tempt fate) it's a quiet neighbourhood so doesn't need to be Fort Knox
Thanks,
BennyC
