My Netgear DG834N is palying up, dropping all connections. Its quite old so probably dying.

So unless there are any specific problems with it and win7, I figure its time for a new one.

I need lots of ethernet ports, ADSL2 connection, Wireless N and quite like the look of a storage port.

Not sure if the storage point is justa gimmick especially as I have a WDTV live as my media thing.

I like the Linksys WAG320N, any comments?

Any recommendations for a good quality router, dont really want to spend over £100.

Cheers

If you want dual-band wifi then avoid the Linksys WAG320N. It is switchable to 2.4GHz OR 5GHz, but cannot do them both simultaneously.

Wow have these things got a built in fail time?? My DG834N has also just started acting up. The connection just dies almost completely via wired connection, however wireless still runs at full speed.

Just plugged in my older Netgear router (wired) and all works fine.

Sorry for resurrecting my old thread, still haven't bought a new router. Changed the firmware and it behaved a bit but still drops the LAN and internet connection.

Was reading other posts and wondered if a gigabit switch

would be a good idea and then buy a separate router for adsl and wireless.

Most of my stuff is wired; printer; wdtvlive; storage.

Or better to get the whole thing together? eg a Belkin one.

Any suggestions, warmly welcomed.
