My friend's pc recently died - the chipset fan failed and fried the chip, turns out to be a problem on his motherboard. The system is based around an old socket 939 motherboard but the gpu and psu are upgraded to 8800gt and 750w psu, not sure of the brand.

Basically he's not very confident with building computers so he was just going to wait and bit and save up for a dell or similar pre-built, however, I told him he could probably use his existing case, gpu, psu, hdd and I'd help him out with a build. He's got about £200 to throw at it and this is what I have initially come up with:

What do you guys think to this? Any suggestions/recommendations are welcomed.

yea good suggestion, haven't read much about this new AC XTREME so no idea how it performs tbh.

In terms of overclocking, I might help him with that, although not sure what this gigabyte p43 is like for overclocking?

Perhaps a thermalright ultima90 with a noctua fan would be a bit more of a solid choice for overclocking?
