My other half has some nice Sennheiser PMX200 which I got her at Xmas which she uses for running. They are great phones, I really rate the sound quality for something so light.

Problem is she has pulled the wires from the plug, they currently still work but the outer casing of the wire has now been pulled from the plug so the actual signal wires themselves are now taking the strain. I suspect a few more uses and they are going to break.

Can you get decent replacement connectors that I could add to the cable, I guess I would have to cut the old one off and add the new one.

I guess other alternative is slighly more drastic in trying to break open the headphones and soldering a new complete lead on, again can you actually get a new lead?

Last option I guess is to try to urgently reinforce the current plug with something, I am tempted to try say some epoxy but that would just move the strain area to where the epoxy joins the cable and makes the actual cable the point that takes the strain rather than a flexible point that absorbs the strain.

I really rate the phones but at 40-50 quid a shot (if you can even find them) then its a pain as she will break them again I am sure.

Any suggestions gratefully received :)
