I thought I'd ask this is here as opposed to the laptop forum as there's more actual panel knowledge in here...
Is it possible to transplant a panel into a laptop that the panel wasn't designed for? For instance, I know that on some Netbooks you can easily replace the factory panel with a Pixel QI screen (for use in direct sunlight). And I'm wondering if it would be possible with larger laptops? Is it just a case of making sure the interface and connector are the same?
For instance, there are two 10.1" panels from AUO with one being designated I guess for netbooks and the other for tablets. There's not much difference between the two, the main one being one is SD 1024x600 and the other is WXGA 1280x800.
