Replacing A Parking Sensor - E46 BMW

One of my sensors seems to have failed last week, and I've managed to get a replacement part for it...

I'm just wondering if the fitting is simply just plug and play as in unplug the old one and plug in the new?

Also how to do you remove the plastic bumper trim does it just "snap" off?

Lucky you, it's a bit more tricky on my coupe having no trim to unclip!!

Yup and yup. Gently lever the black trim off then pull out the offending sensor.
