I'm after a bit of advice here guys.
I've got, as many will know, an old 205. Its been giving me issues and I've been told most likely suspect is the fuel filter, which I doubt has been changed in decades.
I went to a local friendly rip off merchant, gave them the car details etc, and they gave me an inline filter. Fine so far.
Get home, open the bonnet, and there's nothing like an inline filter anywhere, so out comes the haynes manual. Turns out the filter is inside the fuel pump, so obviously I've gotta take that apart to get to it.
I cant find for love nor money a replacement for the original filter, so do I:
a, clean out old filter and put it back in?
b, remove old filter and install inline filter instead?
c, combination of a and b and have two filters (I only ask because someone suggested it)
Many thanks
