Replacing GPU in PC

This so much. The hysteria about swapping gpu brands and DDU etc is funny.

Yup. I upgraded from a 1080ti to a 6900xt last week. Uninstalled Nvidia drivers > swapped cards > installed AMD drivers and that was that.

Obviously worked ok as I'm 2nd and 4th on the FireStrike Ultra and TimeSpy Extreme leader boards respectively.

I didn't need to install new drivers. Everything is working fine.

You also need to stick your tongue in the PCI-E cable to make sure it's the right voltage too
Did that, first thing I did.

And don't forget to plug the power back in done this a few times
Online using the PC in question, will have a look and see if it's unplugged after I shut down :p

unplug and turn the power switch on the back and wait for a big

but I put the card in put the side on all the cables turn it on

then realise the cables the go into the gpu have not been pluged in must have done it 10 times over the years
