Just thought I would hit up the forums for a little help. My H80 has recently begun to emit a low volume high pitch whine which seems to be coming from the pump itself. So I have decided to replace it in 2 weeks time with something better but the problem is I am having some trouble deciding what to replace it with.

The reason I bought the H80 was because I was looking for a decent and very quiet cooler and my system has done well in that regard so quietness is definitely top on my list of priorities for a new cooler. My system is overclocked but not too heavily at 4.4Ghz @ 1.264v and I do not really need anymore than that right now. Under IntelBurnTest and Prime95 the highest temps I have seen is 68oc so its running pretty good if you ask me.

I have a Fractal Design R2 *Arctic White* so I do have a good amount of room for a CPU cooler, my H80 by the way is fitted with 2 x 1850GT's running at 1250rpm so anything under that would be fantastic!

They come with a 5 year warranty if that helps.

Most of the top twin towers will fit in your case.. RAM height and GPU clearance permitting.

K2 . =. . 140x128x158mm 146x154x160mm w/fans (W x D x H looking from front of case with motherboard laying flat)
D14 =. . 140x130x160mm 140x158x160mm w/fans
TC14 =. 140x134x160mm 140x159x171mm w/fans; fans can be mounted lower. (have R2 with TC14 w/fans @ 165mm)
SA . = . 147x123x160mm 151x149x160mm w/Fans
SA-SBE = 155x105x164mm 170x130x170mm w/fans; 150mm fan is too tall
SA-SBE Extreme 155x105x164mm 155x130x165mm w/fans Reason it's smaller is 140mm fan vs 150mm fan.
HE01 =. 140x119c160mm 140x38mm fan in middle

Don't rule out single towers. Some are as good as twins and many are only a couple degrees away. I do know the True Spirit 140 will not fit. :(

5th replacement :eek:
Some people are very slow learners :p :D

Edit: Keep us posted on how it all ends up. Corsair definitely isn't making any money off of the H80 you bought. ;)
