I have been using mayhems x1 blue for just over a year now so time to drain and replace. I have got some mayhems x1 clear to flush the loop but i have also read that its best to use mayhems blitz before refilling the loop. So i am not sure what to do now. Any advice would be appreciated.

Sorry meant to add i have 2 raystorm 7970 gpu blocks, raystorm cpu block, xspc d5 dual bay res combo, xspc 480 & 360 rads and aquacomputer inline temp sensors.

You don't really need such high quality DI water for your first flush, especially if you are using the Mayhem cleaning kit.

Order a bunch of distilled water from your local store, then flush it with the mayhem cleaning kit.

And then use the X1 for the final flush

Okay will go with the cleaning kit then. Can this kit be used in place or do you have to do a full strip down?

There are two parts of the cleaning kit.

For the first kit (rad part) you can only use it on rads coz it will corrode the nickel plating on most blocks.

So yer, I would recommend stripping the loop down.

Can I jump in on this? I am coming up to 3yrs with MAyhems pastel blue so need to replace soon. Does the cleaning kit flush out the plastisizer that you see in so many pics after a long running loop, or do you need to disassemble and clean it out of the blocks yourself?

Plasticizer is sticky and dries up quite hard some times so if it stuck in you pins in the cpu loop id personally suggest stripping it down and cleaning it with a tooth brush. Some times part 2 will clean it out but if it was me and i knew i had plasticizer in there ill go that extra mile to make sure id got it all out.
