ok ive decided now to replace my current graphics card in my sig. Ive been told to go for a HD5770 would you agree? i have £100-£150 to play with.....

thanks

I wouldn't agree no.

I went from Crossfired 3870's to Crossfired 5770's, and have tested performance of single card configurations for each. My two 3870's were only a few % slower than a single 5770.

Not a worthy upgrade.

Personally I'd wait until you have enough for either two 5770's or a 5850.

what i didnt mention was that my current card is crashing my games, ive run furmark and after about 10 minutes running i lose the picture on my monitor and have to reboot to get it back

If thats your budget mate then its the only option worth getting. A lot of misinformation on these forums just now about the 5770. For the money its a very capable card and lets not forget we're talking £112.99 so we cant expect high end for that. Two of these matches 5870 which is high end and £300. So go for it I say or save up for 5850/5870.:)

If you come onto this forum mostly all you will see is issues as that is what it is for !
I have no issues at the moment with my CF5770, whether I am just lucky or most others are 'user' errors I dont know. But what I do know is that of the hundreds of thousands of Ati 5*** series of cards sold a very small percentage of users have problems. People dont post on here, 'my cards are running great and are problem free please help me':)
