Replacing old £20 notes?

Tax dodge cash eh?

Go to the bank, they will always change them.

No, they won't, not unless you have an account with them. And even then, you'll have to put it into your account, for audit purposes.

The Bank of England will always exchange notes in person or by post, but again, they will be audited. It's all about anti-money laundering these days. Hence why you can't buy 500 Euro notes any more, in this country.

The only reason I can think of someone having thousands of pounds in old notes is from a heist. He probably hid them somewhere (storage room?) until now, waiting for the dust to settle.

What do you think OCUK? Can we claim a reward??

I think it's quite funny it took my dads mate well over a year to get rid of a load of 500 euro notes he got. Sold a boat in holland and he couldn't change or spend about 20000 euros, no one would take them :D
