Hello,

I'm in the process of updating my PC/reinstalling windows, etc, etc. at the moment, and need a bit of help on deciding on a new PSU. (BTW I have an uber PC at work to play the latest games, so am quite happy with my current setup for what I play at home :) )

My current PSU is a Codegen 300W ATX V2.03 P4, and needs replacing as I often get low power supply alerts from my gfx card. My PC setup is:

Mobo: Asus A7S333 (Requires 20pin ATX 12V PSU)
Processor: 1 CPU - AMD Athlon XP 2400+ (T-Bred), 2.00 GHz
Memory: 2 x 1GB DDR PC2700
Graphics: Asus V9980 GeForce FX 5950 Ultra 256MB
HardDrive: Maxtor DiamondMax 21 320GB ATA-133 8MB Cache 7200RPM (May also add my old 80GB version as a secondary HDD.)
DVD: IDE DVD-ROM 16X
CD-RW: Artec WRR-52Z

All pretty standard stuff really. If anyone could recommend which PSU's (around 450W-500W I guess) would fit in my PC, I would be very greatful :D

Cheers.

The corsair is worth it in the long run it will last you even if you decide to upgrage to quad core or maybe even SLI depending on the systems overall spec.

Cheers guys. I went for the 550W Huntkey in the end as this seemed plenty for my system.

Suprisingly for me, I managed to swap the PSU's over without any problems - though I could have done with it being 5mm shorter, as the case fan is flush up against the PSU, and I had to force the fan screws in at a very slight angle ;)

Seems to be working fine anyway. No low power supply messages coming up from my gfx card anymore, so fingers crossed it remains a reliable PSU.
