Just a quick one, my quads running a bit hot (45-50 idle, 70+ on load) So i'm thinking of replacing the fan on the stock HSF, i don't wanna buy a new HSF due to the fact i'd have to remove my MB to fit it. So would i just be able to replace the HSF's fan with something like this ?

And use this :

To control the speeds ?

I assume i can, but just wanted to check :p

I've had a look at the pushpin heatsinks, but i'd still have to remove my MB due to the stock HSF came with a mounting bracket at the back and not pushpins. I've no intake fans, just one exhasut fan and the one on my OCZ PSU. Would adding case fans improve the CPU temps or just the ambient temps ?

it would aid both temps, cooler air in the case, cooler air over the CPU
