Hi.

Ive got a rather big leak on my radiator, and after much ringing around ive managed to source a new radiator at a good price.

What I want to know is how hard is it to replace it yourself. I feel like a challenge and im quite handy with my hands :D

Ive ahd a look and it doesnt look too hard.

Thanks in advance

Fairly straightforward, the only potential problem is if the engine needs a specific bleeding procedure for the coolant, but this will be mentioned in your Haynes manual (assuming you have one).

Yup the changing of the rad itself is pretty straight forward and easy. Getting the air locks out of the system when filling it up can be tricky sometimes, don't really want your car to overheat when doing so, i've never had a problem though.

Edit : i was talking in general terms, not specific to Astras, well in general i mean old french cars... :o i'll go sit in the corner... haha
