With the recent threads about seating, I have researched a problem that has bugged me for a while. The front seats in my focus offer little support (Mk1 Ghia), and I am considering replacing them but want it to be cheap and want them retrimmed in matching material, if this isn't possible, I wont bother
If I got some tatty (material) older recaros or similar without runners/from a different car, had them retrimmed a matching material to mine (charcoal/black alcantara?) would it be a matter of manufacturing some brackets and bolting them to the current floor runners ? Would they be adjustable still (backwards/forwards) ? Im not sure if this is a silly question or not, but the aftermarket seats don't seem to have any mechanism in them, so its either a) In the car itself b) Once fitted they're fixed.
Would they marry correctly as far as height goes ?
Sorry if this is a silly question and a pie in the sky idea
