Report Tailgater Button

I really hate people who tailgate me. Especially when it is on an empty A30 or motorway and I am in the inner lane doing 60mph with 1-2 empty lanes on my right and there is a car behind me about 1 foot away from me...tailgates me but cant be bothered to overtake. Sometimes I slow down to 30mph and they do too........ i mean.... so I have to pull into the middle lane to let them undertake me

So you're the one!! Tailgating isn't acceptable in that situation or any other. If someone is in your way then you wait patiently until it's safe to overtake!

Or I pull into the left lane and undertake. Why the front vehicle is in the rightmost lane when the others are empty is beyond me. Its like they feel they are unoffical police and need to make everyone obey the speed limit.

This is as selfish as tailgating.

Non issue really though isn't it, if you're patiently waiting long enough to make the call that said driver won't move over, just undertake and be done with it.

You know the risk, you've weighed it up and decided to take it.

Its not big and its not clever but I'd probably drop to third to do so as well, for no good reason

I usually brake test them and watch their terrified faces in my rear view mirror for my own entertainment, then when they've jammed on their anchors and soiled themselves sufficiently, I speed off and increase the gap. Repeat until they get the message.

Highly irresponsible, but great entertainment.

Tailgating is a careless driving offence at best. Brake testing is dangerous driving. I really wouldn't do that.

This is great until someone actually rear ends you...!

Yes it will be their fault for not leaving a safe stopping difference but you will still have the hassle of dealing with a damaged car, potentially personal injury and an insurance claim and so on.

Sometimes in life its better to let things go......you can still be 'in the right' and come off worse.

Tailgaters should have to spend a year in a North Korean labour camp and on release get buggered by John Holmes zombie.

definitely, I also hate tailgaters there's just no need, a couple of months back i had this happen on a back road coming back down south from Edinburgh ( this was late at night pitch black) he would not over take me, I was doing about 60 around these country roads and i felt like i was pushing it not knowing the roads, this guy obviously knew the roads from the way he was sticking up my **** I contemplated just pulling over in one of the towns (passed through a few) I wish i did now as on the next stretch of back road a deer ran out on me with no time to react, i hit it put my hazards on and pulled over to check the damage why this other retard swung round me and drove off not stopping to check we where ok, if only he had been in front instead!

and for the reccord i didn't do any brake testing or anything like that i just tried to ignore the fact he was half blinding me with his lights being in a pickup truck thing sat much higher than mine.
