I play DOD mostly, CS a bit and TF sometimes. Last night we had a blatant cheater in DOD carrying around an MG42 killing people instantly without deploying.

It was so obvious but it seems there isn't anything I can do about it?

Its basically wait for VAC to catch them, but I recorded a demo and have his Steam ID?

****** me right off, never seen it so blatant!

Steam don't accept anything like that.

imagine how much spam they would get from people just accusing clans/players that beat them.

yep steam doesnt accept customer reports, they will just let VAC do its work.

Only thing you can/could do is get his steam ID and record him, then submit demo to anti cheat programs made by communities such as steambans etc, don't know what ones you have for DOD

You entirely sure he was cheating?

When I used to play DoD, it was pretty easy to run round like rambo and knob people close up with the MG42.

lol believe me it was THAT obvious, he was near spawn as we all ran over the wall he was stood there shooting, killing us all, stood up.

Anyone know how I reply the demo in Windows?

Will host it for anyone interested too.

How do I report a cheater?

As VAC is an automated system, user submitted bans are not accepted. As VAC uses a delayed ban system, the chances are that the cheater you encountered in-game has been flagged by VAC and will be banned in the near future. If you believe a player is cheating in a server the recommendation is that you contact the administration team for that specific server in order to report the possible cheater. This will allow the administration team for the server investigate the possible cheater in more depth and take whatever action they feel is appropriate.

As mention, look for well admined servers and add to favourites. They'll generally have a great community with them too, so should be more fun.
