How do you setup a PS3 with this TV

LG 42PC1DA 42" High Definition Digital Plasma

should u only use the HDMI cable?

Trying to talk a mate through it but have not much experience with HDMI and PS3 on this TV

What channel will he find the PS3 screen on?

It's urgent because he is doing my head in the past 4 hours trying to get it to work and I don't know myself. Said I'll get back to him and he's understandably anxious after spending a lot of money.

Lots of money but no time to read the TV's manual? :p

Agreed though, unexpectedly complex things be TVs o.o
 
That was the first thing I suggested but apparently the manual doesn't offer any info (which I don't believe but there u go). All he need is to find the right channel. I'd be more happy than him if he does! Then my mobile can finally stop ringing!
