Res level query

In the process of bleeding my loop, don't see any big bubbles anymore; pump is becoming pretty quiet now (45 mins or so).

I've put 1l of fluid in (mayhem ultra pure) and the level is around 3/4 on the res: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6mzzz2qq1f6nmsn/res.jpeg?dl=0

Is this safe to run with as long as it doesn't fall much further?

I'll be adding a GPU block later so will top 'er up then but keen to get my h80i outta here!

I don't currently have anymore fluid

should be fine as long as the level doesn't fall below the inlet / outlet holes just check around all your fittings to make sure no leaks

Seem to be leak free but think the pump is ingesting some air occasionally as I've got a fairly common bubble sound now; got some more fluid on the way!

You can always turn the pump down if possible.
It's a good thing to not have the res filled right to the top as it gives some room for heat expansion.

yeah its happier with the pump turned down, think it just creates too much turbulence at this fluid level and gets a few bubbles in; I'll top it up so the level window is pretty much topped but there is a little headroom above that for expansion!

Leave some room at the top you don't need to fill it fully, aslong as your ports are submerged then you can run it at any level.

You'll find the level will probably drop over the next few days as it bleeds itself.

Yeah my bay reservoirs dont like high pump speeds, they start sucking in air like yours. I did the same as you, topped it up to the top of the level window.

Yeah its a crap design for high speed pumps, I really don't understand the inlet port design with its curved tube pointing towards the outlet as this encourages bubble circulation.
Once its fully bled and topped up a bit more you can speed it back up again

The theory is - I believe - that the incoming coolant is pushed into the inlet so you're getting a flying start so to speak. There's a small performance gain but it makes it a pain to bleed....and mostly you turn the pump down from max speed anyway as it's loud at full pelt and the increase in temp from running at a more pleasant volume is usually negligible.
