Res replacement

Hi

I've got an XSPC D5 dual bay res which has developed a leak so I need to replace it.

Whilst the bay res looks nice it is a pain to work with when I need to empty the loop etc so wanted to replace it with a tube res.

Can I use the D5 pump from my dual bay res with this XSPC Photon 170 tube res?

Yeah I noticed that too which is a bit disappointing really as the Photon 170 combo pump top looks nice and neat and I don't really want the additional tubing.

Might get the combo if I can't source the pump top that comes with that combo.

With that pump top I would need to run tubing between the pump top & res though right? Or am I missing something?

That's what I wanted to avoid because I think it looks messy.

Surely the pump top in the combo can be bought separately?

Decided to get a EK Water Blocks EK-D5 X-RES 100 CSQ as I can use my D5 pump from my dual bay in that.
