There have been several over the last few months, but the most recent one:
Overnight all of my client sites broke, because they installed an update which stopped any website accessing any folder called /sys. My default web setup is that I use a /sys folder to keep includes, stylesheets, admin stuff etc, and as a result all my client sites essentially needed rewriting to change all references to the sys folder, rename it etc.
After asking them why they hadn't informed me of the update, they obviously said it was routine procedure and they couldn't tell people about every update, which I completely understood. What annoyed me and eventually made me want to leave was that they basically said "You deal with it.. We'd have to change loads of stuff at our end so it's probably easier if you rewrite all your client sites". It took me 2 hours to remove all references from one website, and with more on table I really couldn't be bothered
