Reseller web hosting

There have been several over the last few months, but the most recent one:
Overnight all of my client sites broke, because they installed an update which stopped any website accessing any folder called /sys. My default web setup is that I use a /sys folder to keep includes, stylesheets, admin stuff etc, and as a result all my client sites essentially needed rewriting to change all references to the sys folder, rename it etc.

After asking them why they hadn't informed me of the update, they obviously said it was routine procedure and they couldn't tell people about every update, which I completely understood. What annoyed me and eventually made me want to leave was that they basically said "You deal with it.. We'd have to change loads of stuff at our end so it's probably easier if you rewrite all your client sites". It took me 2 hours to remove all references from one website, and with more on table I really couldn't be bothered
 
I swapped from UH-Hosting to TSO Host.

UH-Hosting was a good service and cheap but support? Non existent.

TSO seems to be much more on the ball!
 
Previously I was using UK2 had same support issues with those guys , Presently I am with Webhost.uk.net , its been two years now no problem at all with there reseller package I got free WHMCS and they also offered me 3 months free hosting on yearly purchase. I am really happy with there reseller package I will highly recommend you to try them.
 
For anyone rediscovering this thread, just thought i'd add that I've been with Vidahost since my above post and they've been great. Good customer service and web tools.
 
@Selachi good choice. I've been with Vidahost for 5 years .. they give me peace of mind. Peace of mind that they take care of my client websites. Peace of mind that I know they will answer the phone. Peace of mind that they answer all tickets. Peace of mind that they don't put me in a 45 queue on the telephone (unlike others). Peace of mind that when I ask for something I don't get a sales pitch I get decent honest advice and it's up to me if I want it or not. Peace of mind that I never have to worry about hosting.
 
Vidahost are brilliant, there was something wrong with the server my site is on this morning. Couldn't access my website or email. Sent them a ticket at 09:15:14, had a reply at 09:16:55 saying they would look into it, at 09:26:36 it was sorted and everything been fine since. :)
 
Dom and co at Vida are unreal. There's not a single company I could reccomend more than them. Everything they do, they do it best.
 
Hmmm seems to be something wrong with the server when trying to set up a new FTP. Ticket submitted at 02:54:02

Oh and now I'm blocked from logging into cPanel for the next 5 minutes. :/
 
You will have to ask your hosting provider to remove your IP from there firewall block list or bruteforce list. That should solve your problem.
