I need to re-set the bios on a friends computer, however it's using a RAID array. If I re-set the bios, does it loose the RAID array?

No you shouldn't do as the RAID meta data is stored on the drives themselves. What you might have to do is go into the BIOS after youhave reset it and check the hard drive controller mode is set to RAID (I'm presuming they are using motherboard based RAID and not a seperate card).

I also believe it is very important after you re set the bios to go back in and make the adjustment as stated above before you attempt to load windows - otherwise the raid array could get corrupted.
