Reset iPhone iCloud question

Hi

I have a bug in ios13 that keeps messing with my contacts phone numbers, it places spaces between the numbers so i can't make phone calls, I have a fix by switching regions on the phone (UK to US and back), but it still happens every now and again.

Hopefully 13.2 resolves it, but if it doesn't I may have to resort to trying a few things, last being a compete reset.

To my question, If I decide to reset iPhone should I log out of icloud first, just afraid I would lose stuff if I reset without first logging out of iCloud?

Thanks

Backup your phone to icloud first.

Turn off find my phone if its switched on.

Log out of icloud.

Then reset your iPhone back to factory settings.

Restart your iPhone & when ios asks you restore from icloud backup.

Hope this helps

Cheers all

Thank you, I will likely not bother restoring from iCloud backup as I haven’t got much stuff on my phone other than stuff that syncs across my devices like photos.

what’s the reason I need to turn off find my iPhone if I plan to log back in?

thanks again

Not sure but I did read that on apples support pages

Cheers all

Found the guide from Apple, well 2 guides actually, one guide is doing the restore/reset from phone itself and doesn't mention the need to turn that feature off. Hopefully I won't need to reset anyway, want to see if 13.2 fixes it first.
