Resident Evil 4 - Mouse Aim Patch

Just cruising about on ModDB when I realised I had some alerts, checked them and it turns out the good people working on the Resident Evil: Twilight mod have released a patch allowing you to use your mouse in Resident Evil 4.

This patch adds a mouse support option to Resident Evil 4. So you can play the game with the shooter-typical combination of mouse and keyboard.

Hope someone finds this of use!

is this game in the usual resident evil style or in 1st person shooter?

I think its the usual Resi style but its keyboard only or something, im not 100% sure cause I dont own it. I just posted the link hoping someone would find it useful.

Resident Evil 4 is the usual style - a very poor console port to PC

The mod the OP mentioned is a HL2 FPS mod, that is in progress

it has to be one of the worst game ports ever. i did wonder why it was £15 new !

wont allow to config joypad controls (x360 pad) but the buttons do work in game, although camera control is wrong way round. the ingame manual when you collect shows th buttons mapped wrong and tells you what keyboard conrols to press.

the cust scenes are very low quality mpegs (probably of the ps2 vids). even with game running at 1680x1050, all the menu screens are scaled from low res versions.

and I cant seem to move while shooting. See how much I can trade game in for tommorow.

TBH just run the PS1 version of Resident Evil 1 ... the best game tbh (other than the gamecube remake)

That would be because you can't move while shooting

You have to configure the controller through the SetupTool which is in the game folder if you want to customise which buttons do what.. worked fine here with an xbox360 controller and a ps2 through usb adapter.

Playing here with an xbox pad and it works great. Although i did have to change the button maps in XBCD.
