Finally completed this game tonight (on the Gamecube) and wow what can I say, probably one of the best games I’ve ever played regardless of format.

Never really got into the Resident Evil games (on PS1 etc) but after reading so many positive reviews of this game on the cube I thought I’d give it a go.

Taken me just under 30 hours according to save data, so assuming 40 or so hours in total and worth every penny.

Great story, good graphics (probably one of the best on the cube) and loads of addictive action from start to finish.

If anyone still has a Gamecube knocking about (or a Wii) and hasn’t played this game I really recommend you give it a go.

Now got all the unlocked games and mission to keep me busy for a bit longer, but waiting for a new version on the Wii hoping it lives up to this. :)

RE4 is the best of the series, the first one was great and fresh the rest in between didnt bring anything new and with RE4's new gameplay with the sort fo 2nd person view or whatever they call it, makes the game so much more dramatic

Agreed, cracking game. I recently gave my Gamecube to my cousins - all I've kept to play on my Wii are this, zero and the remake of the first one. I have to say 4 is the best of the bunch, it really moved the series on after it had started to get a bit stagnant.

Oh and Eternal Darkness, haven't played that one yet though.

I have played most of the Resident Evil games on diffrent consoles but never completed 1 of them lol, I just get way to stuck and i refuse to read a walkthrough guide.

Deffinately one of the top 5 games EVER created.

The bit in the huge hall (you know, with the pools of water) and about a hundred mad monks charging at you is probably the most tense I've ever been.
Especially on hard

Damn, this REALLY makes me want to buy a Gamecube again....I bought RE4 for the PC and couldn't play it :( It was SUCH a let down. Crap graphics and worse controls...

I really like RE4, completed it 3 times now but I like the traditional pre rendered REs more. Loved remake.

I bought it for the PC as well, loved the first 2 but then went off them, had to give 4 a go after all the reviews.

Yes the graphics are truly appaling but I think its still a stunning game, Im using a 360 controller and it plays great.

think im about half way through and it just keeps getting better and better

Got all the Cubes Resident Evil's and even the RE GameCube.

Hey thats where I am at the moment and I don't have much ammo :D! The PS2 version is the same as the Gamecube version isn't it?

I cant put my finger on it but why do i think there is something missing from that collection :(

Eternal Darkness, Metroid Prime 2, Pikmin, Pikmin 2 or Tales of Symphonia?

Tales of Symphonia :D one of my favourite games on the cube, how could I forget it :D

It's a great game. Must get round to finishing it. Have you seen Eternal Sonata on the X360? It looks stunning.
