This looks like a brilliant game, i loved Res Evil 1 on the PS1, I dont know if i should play 1 through 5 or go straight to 5 now
i got a WII so i might get all the Res Evil games for that, and buy 5 on the PC

Might as well add my two cents.

Big fan of all resident evils since the beginning, only missed out on Veronica which was game cube only if I'm not mistaken (not having one I didn't play it)

RE5 graphically is immense. The controls on keyboard are fine, I got to grips with them. Like people have said, it's the way the game is designed. The odd annoying thing that had me cursing were the times you have to press buttons together to avoid situations, specifically F+V. Major help is pressing "C" to do a quick 180 and hightail out of any situation when in normal combat, better than pressing shift+S I found.

Other than that I would have thought it would beat console controls hands down, especially with the ability to aim with the mouse. Sometimes felt like I had forever to lineup headshots, and line them up I did

Really good game, enjoyed it thoroughly, enough to warrant playing it again in the near future to get some more unlocks and have some lulz. The ending was a little weak but you can't have it all.

I'd recommend it to anyone!!

Code Veronica first appeared on the Dreamcast, then later on Gamecube and PS2.Never completed it.

While over all i don't think the game is as good as re4 and i think dead space out did it in the atmosphere, the graphic in re5 are fantastic and the pc really does it justice.

Gona have to try using mouse/kb, pads bloody ridiculous, you got to keep a button pressed to get yer gun up, then while your doing that you have to use the right stick to aim, then while doing that, you have to press another button to fire, dear me, no wonder im getting lashed having to press all those buttons at ******* once.

Runs fine on Pentium4's + 3 year old gfx cards so anything newer is obviously much better!!

You earn inf ammo for all weapons after completing the game on pro mode & buying the inf ammo when you have earned enough XP points in mercenaries. this takes a while to do unless you know the shortcuts like I do from playing on 360 for months

It does not spoil the gameplay either as the harder game modes compensate by throwing up to 30 zombies on screen at once at you with no slowdown whatsoever :eek:

I've only played this briefly on the PS3

I got the feeling that it was RE4, with a different story and better graphics

Not to go against this thread but you want batman.

I've only played the demo but... was enough to convince me!

Get RE5 after.

It's nice to see them make a proper effort with the PC version of RE5. RE4 was one of the best games ever, but the PC version was terrible without the fan hacks to fix the low res textures, control tool tips etc. It's a shame that RE5 is nowhere near as good as RE4 though. It's still a fun game, but it really needs 2 players.

Finished it on normal, pretty good game. Trying a second play through as Sheeva but looking over her left shoulder is rather offputting, the HUD is mirrored as well. Wonder if there will be a mod to switch it back around.

I sucked at finding the BSAA tokens, I found 9 of them lol.
