Resident Evil 5 - The Source of All Evil (360 & PS3)

Managed to finish this 3 times in 1.5 hours, getting all the achievements as well.

Not the best DLC, but hopefully might pave the way for a RE1 remake :D

Incidently I finished it on Pro in around 25 - 30 mins lol

1.5 hours? very nice. Is that with a bot? My best time is 3.30 odd on normal but Ive been trying to get the S rankings so Ive had to stop to shoot enemies etc. You must have ran the whole way without shooting anything lol.

Just got S rank on the final boss, its way too easy with the rocket launcher.

Why should it be remade again? The GameCube one was pretty much perfect, unless you are implying it should be completely 3D graphics (No more pre-rendered backdrops) but with the old-school viewpoint, just like the awesome Easter Egg for this in Lost in Nightmares.

Sounds a stupid question but how do you save in the DLC? I've had checkpoint, quit and then I can't find a way to load my game. Anyone care to shed some light?

Ok it looks like there isn't a way to save your progress so ignore my last post!

Just completed it, not bad but a bit short. Worth 400 points though I think.

Can you use the unlocks from RE5 for example the unlimited ammo Rocket launcher on the DLC?

Thinking bout waiting for the gold edition before I pick this up but have no idea when it's coming out?

No and you wouldn't need to either. There are only about 8 enemies in all :(

I have to say I was hugely disappointed by Lost in Nightmares. The game length is fine its just the lack of actual game play that irks me :(

The final bit... wth. Lack of warning that you must complete the episode in one sitting

I thought that it was poor and I love RE5, despite the games obvious shortcomings and inferiority to its predecessors.

Desperate Escape on 360 achievements are currently broken  they unlock but do not appear on xbox.com so best to not buy for now as in the past glitched achvs have been known to become permanently glitched so as the DLC is tied to your gamertag better to wait it out:(

I made the mistake of buying it as soon as it came out and am now stuck with achvs which may or may not ever unlock when MS fix this. Its a big letdown anyway not as good as New Nightmares & just a lengthy shot/run/duck fest no interesting cutscenes or boss fights :(

Ok so I've finally got round to playing the DLC was wondering if anyone was up for doing some Co-Op Professional I haven't unlocked it yet but would like to get the hard bits out of the way first!

Edit: 360 btw.

PS3 RE5 Gold:

Just started my first playthrough today! However............

I played the first chapter and thought i had missed quite a bit and so i downloaded a walkthrough and found out about the emblems, hidden gold etc. I now find myself following the walkthrough as i don't want to miss anything!

Good or bad way to play?

Bad way to play. Now you know they exist, just look for them. Although I hate walkthroughs. I think they take the Fun out of games. The best way to play resident evil 5 is find someone to co op with. This game is still one of my favourites this Gen... But only due to how much fun it is with another person =)

Definitely a bad way.

I would rather play through the game first since it is quite short anyway.

Once you completed the game, you unlock the ability to play any chapter as many times as you want, so that's when you can easily do all the in-game bonus stuff or any achievements/trophies you wish.

Because of the way this game is designed, you can easily farm as much gold, ammo and items as you want, so as long as you remember to Quit and Save properly.

I have the Gold Edition on PS3 as well, so if you want a reliable partner and not some crappy AI one, I'd be glad to help.

Whilst I haven't played the game in a while, the locations of the BSAA emblems are practically ingrained into my brain.
